Verse about AAUW-SB Activities

by Holly March

Depending on your intellectual interests or available free time,

we offer serious fare as well "chewing gum for the mind":

With mental stimulations, let us start

going down the list to every part.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS, you will find,

is in-depth study and maybe research on line.

At once-a-year potluck, the BOOKS group picks reading for the year.

They usually meet monthly at night - by general assent, it doth appear.

RECORDERS Ensemble performs for us at an occasional meeting.

They've been around for many a year.  Oh, isn't time fleeting?

CULTURAL INTERESTS is mostly a lot of fun -

A tour of the Palace Hotel, museums, whatever's under the sun.

Now, BRIDGE, you know, has recently been touched a lot.

To help you remember the things you have lately forgot!

MAHJONGG, an ancient Chinese game, still popular today.

Also has an afternoon group meeting each week to play.

The INTERMISSION bunch

Usually meets once a month.

A good current movie they're likely to see.

Seniors luck out with the discount fee.

GOLF is another group we must mention.

It catches some members' monthly attention.

The LUNCH BUNCH eats out monthly, finding it swell.

If you have a favorite place, please do tell.

This is the end of our line.  But if you suggest

Another group, you will be blessed.
