New players are always welcome, and we have several recorders available for loan. No previous musical experience is required.

Tech Trek - Math/Science Camp for Girls

Every summer, the San Bruno AAUW sponsors two or three (in 2008) local 7th grade girls for a science and math week at Stanford University.
Tech Trek Camp has two sessions for 2008 (the seventh year), July 13 to 19 and July 20 to 26.
Eighty girls can attend each. This year, we raised enough to send three girls.
Make check payable to AAUW California Special Projects Fund.
You can also volunteer for staffing, health aide, or dorm mother.
Tech Trek has hands-on laboratory activities to develop excitement and confidence. Students eat in college cafeterias, sleep in college dormitories, and use recreational facilities on campus, with field trips to local science institutions. Students meet women teaching and working in science, math, and computers. AAUW members are counselors. High school and college girls assist teachers and staff.
